Messing around with the editor, and have found couple of problems I can't find out how to fix.

1) Make a skill not show up. The skill is on a tower, and I don't want it to show up, like shadow fiends stats in DotA.

2) Make a skill so when unit is summoned or built, the skill will be on auto cast.

3) Make a skill where after X attacks the unit goes into a frenzy, and then when he is done it will repeat.

Note: I haven't used WE in awhile, so I could probably figure 3 out if I worked long enough on it, but help is nice either way.

    Object Editor
    Open your skill
    Art
    Icon - Normal

    Delete the icon, your skill will need to be passive for you to use it though.

Wrong.

That'll give a green box.

What is the skill in question? It makes a world of difference.

passives can be hidden in a spellbook skill which is then disabled through triggers

actives cannot be hidden, but if its for part of a trigger you can trigger it to give the ability use it then take it away again

on top of the object editor skills field is a default active field which makes a skill autocast or toggle on by default for that unit

for 3, one way(probably not best way, though its the best i can think of without using variables that screw your MUI) is to have a skill that give you a different invisible buff per level, each buff being different, when a unit with the buff attacks it exchanges his skill for the next one, eg

unit is attacked
unit has buff1
set skill level to 2

then

unit is attacked
unit has buff2
set skill level to 3
and so on untill you get to the highest level and you have a dummy unit cast bloodlust on him or so, or give him a hidden passive skill or whatever to get the right effect you want

if you want it as a heroskill so it has multiple levels it is more complicated

Thanks, and to clarify
1) is a passive
2) is obviously something like bloodlust
3) I want to be passive, but not sure how really.
Hope this helps.

Edit: for number one is there a way to make a unit attack faster than the limit set in WE without auras, because if so that would be easiest I think.

The limit set in the WE is 100 attacks per second, or 0.01 cooldown.

If you've tried  putting values this low but the unit attacks slowly, it's because the attack point and attack backswing durations are too long. Unless the unit is buffed with any kind of +IAS%, they will never attack faster than the limits set by the combined duration of attack point + backswing.

The passive slow aura skill that comes from the ulltimate in ladder from Whirilwind or something from the naga.  It's whirlwinds have the passive slow aura but it does not show the icon.  And since it was ladder it had no use of triggers.  I guess I just thought that's how that skill worked.

seaweed aura... go to gameplay constants allow negative values then g copy endurance aura and give it negative values and only make it effect enemies

Tornado slow aura doesn't HAVE an icon. That's why it doesn't show up.

Also Seaweed aura is based on tornado slow aura, not endurance. The icon is a blank ability that does nothing but show the picture and the green buff on the Makrura.

Ah sweet thanks for the tip!  I think if I wanted the icon for it though i'd go with Revengez's idea just cause it's a tiny bit simpler
