Weird Replay/Bug

So me and my friend wanted to play the new id 2.8.6 we did.. and well we saw different things on our screen...yeaa just watch replay sometime around 13mins into it and ull see/hear things going weird...im hella confused after this game

its so bugged it shouldn't even be released, the new builder is bugged, the towers suck ass. N its lumber is fcked(all 3 shown in replay), darox should stop making map unless he's going to release it wen its close 2 rdy or at least not as bugged i will say tho i do like the thought of the new builder idea

It's called a desync, and it can happen in a bunch of maps. It's hard to explain, but it like "divides" you into 2 different games.

I watched the replay.

Apparantly, the MEGA BUG is green getting desynced from the host, because nothing wrong happens in the game except green saying he's not playing the same game that everyone else is.

If anyone else can replicate this, I'd like to see it, but until then I'm considering this a fault of whatever programs the host was running.

This 'bug' can happen in all games and is believed to be caused by things such as poor battlenet connections.

It tried this in a Kodo tag (yes i suck  ) me and my friend was at my house and we decided to play a kodo tag. and when played 10-12 mins i couldn't see him and some other guys in the game. and clompletly different to him. he couldn't see me and some other. but now i found out what is it called. but still.. how does it happen? if some1 could explain it would be nice.

Basically, as with all network games, you send packets. When those packets of data are lost, byebye information and you won't be able to update each other's position/the host won't be able to update your positions' (depends on what sockets warcraft uses).

As a result, the game is "screwed up" and you won't be able to properly see what others are doing and vice versa.

It happens at the end of Dota games. It stops lagging so quickly, that you lose connect to most people. Sometimes, you and a guy get stuck together and you can still hear red(or blue) yapping "ZOMG ZOMG I KILL FOUNTAIN ZOMB ZOMG I GOOD ZOMG ZOMG I GAY NO1 SEE ME! RAWR" and you can hear but not see them. Its scary after a little while =P
