Quick facts about Ice Magnataur:

Difficulty: Hard

Escape Abilities: Frostbite / Wind Walk

Hotkey: (X)

Armor: Fortified. 11% reduction.

Speed: Very Fast (translated into other armour i would be Average - Fast)

Description: An easy builder to learn the game with but difficult to be very effective with. Does not have a titan hunter and can't base. It has many upgrades available to unlock abilities and increase strenth. Very effective support unit and offensive unit with gold. Above average walls late-game.

Pros

1.  Has more armour than most other races
2.  Does not have many workers, only one (that gathers 10 wood a hit)
3.  Magnataur gathers 25 wood a hit
4.  Has one of the strongest walls in game
5.  Can be used either to help bases or hunt down titan

Cons

1.  Can't base for himself
2.  Has no fruit trees
3.  Most upgrades require gold
4.  If someone dies early game you have to wait until gold penalty or kill the minion.

Ice Magnataur's Buildings

Shelter: (30 wood) A small weak structure used for training workers to harvest materials.

Crystal Shrine: (500 wood) Contains a variety of upgrades for the magnataur.

Ice Wall: (50 wood) A weak wall.
(Upgrade)Fortified Ice Wall: (250 wood) Strong Wall.

Advanced Research Center: (20 gold ; 2000 wood) Contains various upgrade for the magnataur.

Ice Magnataur's Most Used Abilities

Strategy

Early Game

The first think you must do is choose Ice Magnataur from the Hard tavern. Run to one of the many hiding spots that can host a shelter and start gathering wood. You can either chose to begin walling in the middle before or after the Titan has spawned.

HOT TIP!
If the titan has already spawned, and he is not mid, get a watch and wait 1 minute and 30 seconds to 2 minutes in order to be certain titan will not WW kill you. Even though over half of the time titans Wind Walk at the very beginning of the game, this is not always the case. Make sure you have your own Windwalk ability ready to use when you're at mound and you are not certain where the Titan is.

You must remember golding is one of the most dangerous tasks that must be performed in Island Defense, which is why you must build a Crystal Shrine as soon as possible and research Hit Point upgrades and the Wind Walk ability.

HOT TIP!

You might want to kill the critters in the middle for they might block you and spell doom.

To be certain once you reach your walls the Titan won't have a chance to kill you (unless he nukes ofcourse) You have to leave a 1x1 space between each wall. This is VERY important. Your builder fits into a 1x1 spot, but the Titan needs a 2x2 or more.

To gold, you must have the Mine Gold ability in autocast. If it is not in autocast, you will not be able to gold propertly. When you are golding, always make sure you know where the Titan is or you are certain he is somewhere where he is not a threat to you when you are golding. Remember that one of the main causes of death while golding is the classic Windwalk kill, so make sure you know where the titan is, or have a good idea of where he might be before you proceed into golding his mine.

HOT TIP!
The Advanced Research Center costs 20 gold... To get Polar Wrath you have to research two other things first. One of them is Artic Wilderness Staff, which is 10 gold, and Inner Cold, which is 5 gold. In order to get Polar Wrath before the gold penalty you have to mine a total of 65 gold.

Mid-Game

Mid-Game begins once the Titan has gotten a minion. If the titan camps and you still do not have enough gold, consider walling the minion in and killing him, or just stalling him while you snatch a few pops of gold. Once you have gotten enough gold, ask around if anybody needs a Ice Magnataur to wall them.

HOT TIP!
When the Titan is attacking the base that you're walling, make sure you're repairing the wall he is attcking so it lasts longer. Remember that the Ice Magnataur is extremely strong and can last a few hits. Being close to the entrance of the base also helps because you will be able to exit the base easily and have a chance to attack the Titan with your Polar Wrath ability while he is weak.

At this time is when you should be getting all your upgrades from the Advanced Research Center. One of the most important upgrades, if not THE most important upgrade you have to get is the Fortification Aura, which adds 10 armour to buldings and units around you. This upgrade is not very costly and really helps. If you get this, and you still have an abundant amound of spare gold left, you should consider learning Artic Armour and Artic Endurance in order to be able to harvest more gold. With Fortification Aura, Artic Armour and Artic Endurance your magnataur becomes extremely enduring. It becomes so strong that even if there is a minion in the middle, you can turn on Artic Armour, and harvest gold while the minion is attacking you. You will be able to get 5-10 gold before you have to retreat back to your walls, but you can try it again and again until you get all the gold in the world.

End Game

The end game is the least exciting part of the game. This part of the game begins when the gold penaly has been reached and the Titan is trying to break down bases. Once this phase of the game is reached, try to wall the titan in so he dies.

I hope this guide of Ice Magnataur has helped you much in your quest to beceome a better Island Defense player.

Happy Gaming!

These are some of my favorite hiding spots that host shelters

Try not to use the colour yellow, it blinds people.

Also, the mass un-upgraded walls at mound are gold feed.
And even if you wait 1-2 minutes, the Titan may still have Wind Walk and kill you.
Plus, there are a few more hiding spots that you can place your shelters in.

I like the screenshots though x)

I think your mound walling with the checkmark is fail.
Up a few walls, don't mass walls. -_-

that screen was made for beginners that feel more comfortable with a larger safe area... once they become better they will find out they don't need such a large amount of walls

How about you do a part on the Advanced Research Center and put the upgrades, their cost, and the benefit?

Good guide overall, but are you suggesting we go for polar wrath straight? Or should we get someone other upgrades before?

Also might want to add in to NOT stand too close to the entrance of a base because of nukes.

The problem isn't really the mag dying when he's rewalling. It's nuke bouncing over to the builder he's walling...

The highlight, color, and marquee buttons may seem] fun, but they can be hard on the eyes. Don't use color unless it helps clarify or add information, like in the hotkeys for different buildings. And even then, don't use yellow. Use orange.

Okay guide, approved.

Unapproved.

This guide is factually in accurate and lacking depth.

Polar wrath requires 70g.

You don't mention anything about the skills, but just post pictures of the tool tips.
