Well theoretically it could be made into a 1st person game. I've had many ideas regarding this.

Look at sanctum, its a first person tower defense and is boring as hell after a few days(2).

Micro managing in EDIT:first person is not fun, the most fun I get in ID is either as titan, sieging(as either) or just plain our running away from the titan with my escapes. The reason these actions were fun was because we had an aerial view and trees were able to "Fog" the enemy's vision. Though this didn't take much skill it gave a nice feeling.

EDIT: since weve been talking alot about BGN, i just asked a lead if i could see what happens on my 1000 words paragraph explaining my step down and problems, and they cant even let me see it.

Such a fucking joke, so could someone kindly quote the replies if they didnt close it/hide it like they have done with so many others?

You don't understand Pony I'm talking about not as much of a tower defense as combat based game. More about the exiting bits like running and minion hunting. Minions would not be controled and would be run by an AI making minion hunting even with a fed titan possible. Attacks wouldetn always hit. You could dodge not on a random bases but using sertain agility moves to avoid say luci's trident. Basers would still base but it would be on more of a less tower, more using your hunter and skills to fend of the titan thing. Hunters would be a bit stronger but could only accept simple commands. The worker number would be reduced.
You would have a mini map so the shared vision part of ID still has a point.

In all it would be much more thrilling, looking up at the titan and it seeming more realistic. Also it would be soooo scary xD.

What he described will be a run of the mill FPS

Reasons:

Your in first person

The terrain prevents you from jumping over stuff(I'm guessing since titan needs to be walled off)

Titan has a melee attack while you have a ranged attack.

Repairing wall will be more crucial to success similar to games like dungeon defender

O boy I sure have fun when I can 1 shot melee people but they all just hide behind a wall and hold down left click at me.

Run of the mill nough said.

What you just described is island defense exactly, except that island defense is from a birds eye view.

What you just described is island defense exactly, except that island defense is from a birds eye view.
Go on Counter Strike source and play Zombie mod, it will be exactly like that. Except we build our walls instead of move them.

You could form a unit group just like always. Whichever unit you're controlling is the unit the camera will snap to.
