people bought WC3, found out melee wasn't interesting, and started playing custom.
people bought SC2, found out melee was awesome, and don't start playing custom.


WC3 custom search was a lot more 'new map' friendly too, as oppose to SC2 where the majority of players just try the highest popularity customs.

Myself Included, I think everyone liked the more "imbalanced" versions, instead of these newer balanced versions. Dont get me Wrong, I have fun seeing the new seeds, easter eggs, etc; but, I like the Gameplay more. You didn't have to worry about feeding a load of workers and being made out as the Noob of the Year award lol. My point is, Builders liked the convenience of bigger seeds, bases, and not worrying so much about feeding to the titan. While, the Titan was fun being as the hardest unit to play, (which now seems like any person who has played 20+ times in a pub can win easy.) So now, I feel that the titan has the Advantage being he has way more items, while older builders havent been Updated/Rebalanced for years.

Idk man, it's not really fun waiting for 10 minutes for someone to go titan, then leave after he doesn't get a kill in 5 minutes. That happened a lot when builders were overpowered.

Although this did breed a better generation of Titans by forcing players to actually think.
