Is Arachnid a worthwhile builder?

Does she bring anything new to the table? Is there anything different she does from other builders? I haven't touched the game in a while, but last time I played she was a weaker, simpler version of Gnoll. Has this changed? If not, why is she still on the Builder Roster? ID has enough builders as it is without useless ones polluting the tavern/boat/whatever the fuck it is now. On that note, are there any other builders/titans we could afford to cut from the roster? Ones that aren't watered down versions of another or completely useless?

I agree, she has been improved, but I still hate her thus I am forced to metamorphosis her into the Legendary Arachnamag.

As for titans, they are not necessarily useless but some are just ridiculously hard in all practicality.

IE, Aud, yes you can win but if there is a base you're fucked.

I've never killed one, but I guess you can. But if a titan is dying from the towers when he is IN windwalk (sighted by ward/stalker) he'd need to break ww to kill the sight, so that doesn't matter anyways.

The difference between the huntress true sight skill and demo's and gnoll is easily explainable.

Gnoll sucks early game and needs a buff, for that reason he has sentry ward.

Demo needs sacrifice to hunt minions effectively. Without that skill minions can easily windwalk away when surrounded.  Another thing to keep in mind is that sacrifice is not used instantaneously like the ward and huntress skill is. The demo has to already have a summon out and then use sacrifice which has a semi long casting time.

Huntress on the other hand is a hunter/supporter who should not have that skill as it props up bases far too much early game. There have been plenty of instances where I would break a base as titan after I regenerated health in windwalk but due to a huntress having that skill I could not get near to breaking the base.

I'm sorry orc if you have a different experience, but I myself have NEVER seen a huntress do well in a pub. And quite honestly what the pubs do is what matters.

I say you let arachnid towers deal stacking poison damage. Let the towers be nuke-able, but give them a burrow ability that grants invulnerability and hp regen.

Hm...Interesting concept - it's either a really bad base (more than X # of minis) or a really good base (less than X # of minis).

But i still think he is fine, as arachnid has better escape abilities compared to gnoll - worse towers, gnoll has better towers - makes up for his bad escape abilities..

Gnoll - double wotw = dead
Arach - Panic + slow + wall walk

And any builder can easily just buy a TP stick.

gnoll gets his cement walls + the good poison
makrura gets beast range plus 5 more damage with that upgrade in arc
Murloc gets beast range
Troll is definitely trash late game, but who else can compare to arach's crappiness?

I never play pirate so idk how good they are late game

Draenei, Ogre, Pirate and Panda are all shit late game. Most of them worse than Arachnid.

Draenei... needs more tweaking. I wouldn't say he's as bad as arachnid but without his ARC or a well he's pretty useless. Atleast he wasn't retardedly overpowered as in Darox's version.

Ogre also needs tweaking. It's not a bad concept but he just ends up having worse towers than makura and worse walls than gnoll.

Pirate was an interesting concept but with the way WarCraft 3 armour works (which I still think is retarded) the damage is negligible.
