thanks to that critter topic, here's my idea.

A small village exist in the small corner of the island. Hidden in it is a magic pearl that let titan reveals the whole island. To reach the village, titan would have to travel all the way thru a 3 spaces wide zig-zag path, where builders are defending with walls trying their best to stop titan from reaching the magic pearl, and a group of 5 villagers guarding the pearl where each villager has 5hp, 50 damage per hit with divine armor and spell resistant. Along the path to the village sits the magic fountain, which grants builders 50hp per second generation + 10 armor while deal -10 armor and -50hp per second to titan. Aura is punishable (punishment center).

A magic pearl, in return, surrender the whole map's vision (a.k.a. -mh on) to uber titan.
Item: magic pearl
description: when carried by titan, it will remove fog of war, permanently. Sold for 80 gold.


possible way for titan to break into the village:
1) carry along two level 3 minion nuke to kill the builders in the way
2) equip with damage dealing items (titanic trident, berserker gem)

possible way for builders to defend the village:
1) build walls. thanks to +10 armor (and +50hp regen?  Huh? Huh? )
2) morphling beast + fortified armor bitches

I think it would be funny seeing titans in the beginning trying to get this the entire game, and end up dying there because of it. Interesting idea though. I think if the Titan gets it he has the right to funny music for that game.

nah..... that's just a minor part.... and a level 4 titan alone is unlikely to break into that ... "Village". Perhaps the villager shall be tweaked :/

There's a few issues I can see with doing this, though the idea of having something else on the map to concentrate on is interesting in itself.

It'd have to be activated and with some sort of cooldown.  Permanent visibility would equal almost garunteed death for any race out in the open, thus once titan gains this, all builders are just going to end up camping out in their respective bases/assist bases.

You would need some type of extra 1x1 exit from this village at the end of the path in order to escape, otherwise going up to wall the area would effectively trap most races.

There would need to be a high enough cost for the item to not allow for the titan to simply run up and snatch it at the beginning of the game.  Or perhaps a timer for when the "Eye" would be placed on the map. Perhaps add it into the 30 minute Gold Penalty?

And there will be problems
Can't the end game tauren/mag with a load of hp just sit there and repair and never die?

If by end game you mean last builder/one of the last then probably not. The titan's damage does more then the repair rate, so the mag will die eventually.

If by end game you mean last builder/one of the last then probably not. The titan's damage does more then the repair rate, so the mag will die eventually.
get a few taurens/mags repairing, titan can't get in then, since their hp+50hp regen per 5sec=invic

I'd suggest to make certain builder escape abilities have some sort of help towards the defense. Having the whole map revealed would be unfair, maybe making the fog of war active after a certain time.

Instead, make a sort of barrier there and when X amount of time passes, make the barrier fall so the titan can attempt to get the village. It would stop titan from spending the whole game trying to break the village and not feeding. Also, with the magic pearl, make the unit carrying the pearl become a titans units when he gets to him, this unit can cast a spell the revals the whole map for X amount of time and then has a cd twice as long as the reveal time.

Why not after 35 minutes passed the Titan can enter that area, but if he tried entering before timer was over it would tp him back to cave with a 1 second stun as punishment. This way builders have 5 minutes after penalty and then some to base before he has perma vision. Also would the pearl reveal invis, because that is just overpowered. Plus the Titan if he was near that area, could use the auto tp from entering that area as an advantage, or if that doesn't work just stun him for 2 seconds.

well, that would add some complication to the map, like 10 builders camp the village for whole game and gg titan ..... is it possible to limit the number of builder into entering some sort of ... area?

But then if you play a pub 2 noob pubs could stand in there because they think it's what their suppose to do and then the titan has an easy free perma vision.

They also think that since they are invis they should stand in front of Titan, and that fruit trees make great towers with 2 walls....

I think we should do this.... But we should probably add more to it. I like it, maybe we should make it a base spot as well. Full sight of the map seems a little too powerful. We could make it an active ability that lasts for a minute with a 3 minute cool down.

I don't think anyone realizes how monumentally bad this idea is for Island Defense.

As a separate map, sure, but this idea would stop Island Defense from being Island Defense.

finally some sense, this idea would ruin the whole feel of the game, in fact i dislike it so much that i wont even support it as in individual game mode, as a part of a different map it could be interesting, but has no place in island defense

it would be like adding a game mode taking out towers and turning gold penalty into the end of the game, if you wanna play sheeptag go play sheeptag
