General Chat has (should have) a sense of seriousness to it. That is, some spam is alright, and it unavoidable. But pure bullshit is not allowed. I may ask adam if we can rename General Chat "Off Topic" and then get a board for topics of substance. But even then, the forum shouldn't be for pure nothingness.
I wouldn't call it a banhammerspree because the only people I've ever banned are theorchero and advertisers.
On the topic of the lockspree, I guess it could be called one. When a topic becomes so derailed there's no point in keeping it open to continue the bullshit, I lock it.
Also, I'm not an admin, I'm a mod. The difference is monumental.
Another hint, calling out a moderator in public is a bad idea. It embarrasses them and generally gets nothing accomplished. If you messaged me and asked about it, I would have been happy to explain. But now you've called me out personally and I dislike you more.
I've moved this to Site Feedback because it is visited less about the forums, not discussion.

I disagree. He should be called out. When someone does something wrong, shouldn't it be pointed out so it can change? Sickle has taken it upon himself to change GENERAL chat to WHATSICKLEDEEMSOKAY chat. He should be stripped of mod, at least temporarily, or his power should be limited.
