Topic says it all, there's a lack of real programming threads on this forum. Anyone working on anything interesting? I'm currently researching hacking tricks to pull a senior prank. Had no luck gaining admin rights so far though.

Oh boy, get through Junior year first.

Now I'm working on C++ a bit, but I tire of it when I get to boring sorting algorithms.

So now I'm working on a map (mini-hero-arena), coded entirely in Vanilla JASS, with JASSHelper as a global preprocessor because I can't live without globals.

Out of curiosity what did you guys learn your freshman/sophomore/junior/senior years.

Freshmen learned basic coding in VB
Sophomore learned Java for the AP test
Junior was suppose to learn about HTML, learned nothing instead besides that wix and weebly exist.

See for the computers at my school we have deepfreeze, so I'm thinking senior year telling everyone in school the pw and just letting people do their own shit with that.

Freshman aren't allowed to take any Technical courses, sophomores are limited to FOT (Foundations of Tech, AKA: Here's how shit works) and JR./Sr. year we're open to take more buisness, managment, and building things like courses, which is why I'm relying on the internet to learn these things (My school has crappy courses until SR. year -.-)

It really seems like if you want to learn its best to just teach yourself on stuff, or is there some amazing course I missed?

lol

Most techs forget to not only encrypt but to block admin password access to computers with linux - they make it easier on themselves just by preventing access to it by the pre-installed operating system, usually XP. So if you can, get into an area with a computer that has no cameras and load linux on it and you can have administrator privileges. I'm going to do that this year by overriding the intercomm system (it's computerized :]) to play "Still Alive" over it during graduation. It'll be automated of course, I'll be down in the dome waiting to receive my diploma when it hits Smiley

*grabs diploma*

*THIS WAS A TRIUMPH*

"tf?"

*IM MAKING A NOTE HERE: HUGE SUCCESS*

"LOL!"

edit:

and yea, my school limits shit to junior/senior year, but I'm special so I managed to squeeze in a year early.

Thats genius

My school lets us take an HTML course freshman year, Java Sophomore, and then something called AP computer Science junior year. can't figure out what we'd do in junior year. HTML final project is makeing a website 30 pages long, and Java's final project is to make a video game.
AP Computer Science's final project is makeing a robot intelligence. Internets way more complicated than those classes.
