I use z/x/c for pro ward caging, outside of that it does feel weird to use Z unless you plan the rest of the keys around it.

Mess around with CustomKeys.txt = win.
Changed cancel building 'esc' to 'Q', so either: 2nd finger on 'b', 3rd finger on 'w', 4th finger on 'q', or thumb on 'b' if u have small hands.
There is a guide on this as customkeysinfo.txt in your wc3 directory but it is pretty self-explanatory if u just copy the customkeyssample.txt and rename the copy to customkeys.txt
Edit: There is a few downsides to the button "Q" if you also make cancel skill window to "Q" (ie. chance all 'esc' buttons to "Q") Such as selecting the nuke hotkey from add hero skill as titan, or sacrificing as demo (Sacrifice skill has priority because hotkey is also "Q"), or cancelling an upgrade in a tauren's research center enabling an upgrade of tower attack speed (Cost 20 gold near-useless skill) instead of cancelling an upgrade. (Can be fixed by changing "Q" to "~" or something, but i still like "Q" as it is still closer.
Also, customkeyssample.txt will have a few different set hotkeys such as panda's split (earth, storm & Fire) into hotkey 'e' instead of 'c', blink on venomous spears and syph / luci's nuke changed into tooltip of chain lightning of 'c', but this can be fixed easily by deleting all the skills and just leaving the skills you want to be changed, in this case, just the cancel building / cancel skills.

(I'm a skinny ass mother fucker with tiny hands and arms >.> my dads fore arm is the size of my thigh and his arms aren't that ripped, to put it in proportion for you.) |

B, W, set rally point for builder, scroll to get building, esc for cancel and then i press 1 to get him back and continue with that.
