Items involved: Damage Tomes
Builders Involved: Morphling, Tauren

Version: 3.0.8e

Replication (Morphling):
If you buy a damage tome on one form (eg. warrior), if you switch to builder form, you will immediately lose the damage bonus. Applies to Warrior to Beast and vice versa.

Replication Tauren:
If you buy a damage tome on tauren and go rage, it will immediately and permanently erase any damage upgrades you've received from damage tomming.

I haven't tried mag but I do not believe mag is affected. Hmm.. I should try faerie damage toming... That actually sounds hilarious.. Infact I will do that now.

This is a blizzard bug and happens everytime for both of the builders you specified

It's because it's a transformation morphling, and tauren in ancestral become other units when they transform hence not having the damage tomes the previos form had.
Mag's polar wrath is not a transformation but nearly an avatar skill therefore you still have the tomes.

You can also dodge projectiles with it, (Titan targets you with nuke you transform nuke gone) does not work on AoE tho.
This is often used in dota with heroes like alchemist and sylla.
