Magic DampenerA powerful artifact recovered from a deep pool where powerful titanic energies coalesced,
it has tendencies to both attract and dispel magical energies around it and yet somehow imbuing the possessor
with a peculiar aura of magic, never seen before on this remote island.
When a target is the victim of a ranged damage-dealing bouncing spell, the magic of the artifact activates,
halving the amount of jumps, forcing them all to affect the wearer, and after the initial spellcast damage,
reducing spell damage taken by 75%, non-stacking with other immunities (such as hero type armor or
demonic resistence) for 1 second. 90 second cooldown.
Due to the peculiar aura, the wearer also receives a minor boost to health regen (3 HP/s)Requirements:
-2 Eggs
-Shield of Will
-Runed Bracers
-Regeneration PotionAnimation ideas:
Could make it to where it cancels the animation for the nuke early (making it like half or a third of the time)
and playing dispel (like for detonate) on the builder.
This item is designed for rewallers to prevent them from endangering his baser. This item would be especially well because
it offers an additional upgrade path for shield of will besides just more armor and HP.
I know it may sound overpowered, but the nuke-blocking effect lasts
1 second, that's scarcely enough time for 1 (maybe 2) nukes, and the rewaller would take a lot of damage:
(180 + (180-135 [-75% of 180 = 45] * [Level of nuke, if 1 or 2,
* 1, if level 3,
* 2])
So if the titan or minion had a standard bouncing nuke at level 3, he would take
270 damage. The hp regen is in there to help compensate for such massive damage.
balance ideas:
Hell, I'd even consider making the reduction build, like the first jump has 0%, next one 60%, next one 80%, rest 90%.
Could also make the "dispel" animation actually dispel negative effects (such as glacs slow) - I really like this idea.
