That's why it's a team game, not a 2 or 1 man game. Get owned in a lane? Ask for a gank. Hero match horrible? Swap lanes. There's also something called harassing, which Cutie has no idea what that is.

I play dota every once in a while to get my mind off Island Defense. You can learn dota easier if you have people who are supportive towards you, not because your noob, but because your willing to learn.

An example is AoW_Hun, the noob started flaming @ me because he wouldn't teach me how to play Ursa! Noob.
I've seen only 3 - 5 people that are really supportive towards me in learning dota, and I'll name them.

DotA is the most boring and repetitive game I've ever played. All 90 of the heroes are pretty much exactly the same. Every game plays out exactly the same and the team with the most disables always wins. The game lacks depths and you could pick the same hero and do the same thing over and over and do fine every time.

Now I'm betting your arguement in defense of DotA is that I am bad at it, or haven't played it very much. I've played DotA since 2003 and am perfectly willing to wipe the floor with you 1vs1 as soon as I get a mouse that isn't broken. And no Island Defense isn't the same thing over and over because theres so many different ways the game can play out while DotA only has a handful of possibilities.

Not exactly true, but i'm guessing your not talking about pub Dota. I have to agree with you, but I find Island Defense more repetitive mainly on the fact that pub's for ID are so bad.

I find both repetitive, but both are fun. It depends on how the game is going, if the titan sucks and your golding, if you have the time to make a sandwich and come back to still golding, thats boring. Though in DotA if your dominating or if your dead alot(you must suck for this), then it can get boring to. They also always seems to play out the same way.

1: They are different games played in different ways, both can be repetetive, but both also have a lot of options for varied play. What you do yourself is of course a very important factor. If you early base with troll every game, it gets repetetive. If you Farm with troll for for 40 minutes it gets repetetive.

2: Kama, you could beat Myahem with one hand using a laptop iwth  the inbuilt laptop mosue. Mayhem have a complete lack of (no offense) creativety and basic logic and understanding of the game. He is unable to handle a situation that he was not prepared for and unable to improvise. Again, this is not meant as insulting or flaming, it's simply facts regarding how you play, Mayhem.

3: DotA is obviusly a more developed game, and thus it have several qualities that ID lack. That being said, both games still sit on a lot of unused potential, ID even more I believe.
