The demons item chaos essence is well.. useless. Unless you have a pool nearby the mid its useless for taking down minis. Heres an idea to make it more used:

Empty Orb
Costs: 1200 lumber, purchase cd is 30 second.
This is a empty orb, ready to capture an essence.

If you have this item and you purchase the Chaos essence you get this:

Chaos Orb
This orb has an chaos essence inside it, when used it increases the damage by 50% for 12 seconds.
Has 2 charges.

And this new item:

Fortificating Essence
When bought empoweres all nearby units in an 500 AoE whit +100% armor for 12 seconds.

If you have the Orb than you buy the Fortificating Essence you get:

Fortificating Orb
This orb has an Fortificating Essence inside it, when used it increases the armor by 50% for 12 seconds.
Has 2 charges.

EDIT:
Removed gold cost on empy orb and increased lumber cost.
The orbs give less bonuses, but they have 2 charges.

I say add this, I have never used it before because of its cost and short use, Even at my usual spot, it takes 15 seconds to reach mid

That's because the point of it was to be added with the teleport to allow for mass army ganks out of the blue.

how much would each essence cost? Also, if you had an essence and then you bought an orb, would they make the essence orb?

Forti essence woud cost same as Chaos essence, and you can't hold the essence alone cause It's used instantly when you buy it.

sorry to bump.

but chaos essence is a handy, and very powerful buff that isn't really applicable 99% of the time (unless its like towers) because it's a buff, when (or even if) your the lucky one with that teleporter and use it to surprise gank, that buff doesn't transfer to your summons, so it's just making your builder atk better (but who atks minions with their builder (unless there like lvl 2)?)

It wasn't the teleporter egg item, it was a teleport meant specifically for demon to take all his summons in an area, and teleport them to a selected area.

If you could take that buff anywhere to use whenever you want, I would have to say the % increase would have to be lowered. It would just be way too strong to have whenever you wanted. The reason it's so high right now is because it's stationary.

Awesome idea though. I support it.

I do not quite understand the difference between the 2 latter items. They both suggest the same effect and the price is equal for all the items assuming since there is no cost mentioned.
What I can read is that the latter only gives for the main unit, and to be fair that does not sound good enough.

To begin with, I think finite effects should not cost gold but rather a lumber investment.
that third orb effect could be a permanent lesser effect that costs a bit of gold to attain while the first form gives you a temporary without gold cost.

The chaos orb basically makes the 100% damage buff from the Pool portable, which is a great idea since I have honestly never seen this used in any strategy. In order for it to be effective, you would have to either lure a titan or build a new pool at the hunting spot (which really is not effective seeing how long this thing takes to build and the initial delay to purchase). At the best average, its usable for poking which does not excuse that 5 gold cost. Why would you pay 5 gold for what only gives you better poking damage?

Making it a portable item makes the effect a lot easier, and at the same time I would also like to see the gold cost entirely removed for the finite effects. As a measure though, the benefits would be balanced accordingly.

You threw up a great idea and I should consider implementing it, or at the very least something to that effect.
