Blood of Azeroth Builder

Story: Underneath the ancient island lies an unknown race of “creatures”, some say to be the blood of Azeroth. These “creatures”, having noticed a great threat return, have also returned to the surface to fend off the wicked virus the surface-dwellers know as the Titan.

Overview: This builder is meant to be a baser that doesn’t need any gold to be effective (such as murloc, gnoll, etc.), but with a much more original way of functioning, and added difficulty.

Concept: Ideally, this builder will take a prolonged time to set up a base, but the builder doesn't need to be anywhere near the base to build it. He also has the ability to rewall without the risk of being nuked. However, his own walls are fairly weak in comparison to others, so it would be ideal to have a supporter/waller aid him, especially since his walls have such a delay in surfacing.

Units:

Main Builder:



Aesthetics:

Model - Sludge Flinger
Projectile Art - Sludge missile

Stats:

Health – 300
Armor – 0 (medium)
Attack – 125-125 (piercing)[Same range as faerie]
Orc-style building

Escape Ability:

Liquid Flow: Allows the queen to burrow, making her invisible and increasing her movement speed to the max. She will flow uncontrollably to the main opening of her hive. While this ability is active, she is unable to be targeted by any spells or effects, but can be attacked. When she arrives at the hive, she will be inside of it. 2 second transition time. 120 second cooldown.

OR

Liquid Droplets: Instantly split into 10 very small droplets. Each droplet has 25 health, and an aura that reduces movement speed by 10%. Lasts for 30 seconds with a 200 second cool down.

Surface Harvester:



Aesthetics:

Model: Zergling (scaled down)

Stats:

Health, armor, etc: Same as murloc
Harvests normally, costs 6 food, and benefits from lumber upgrades.
(A copy and paste from murloc harvesters, with a model swap)


Solidified Liquids (Hunter):



Aesthetics:

The corrosive liquids that flow through the hive solidify, and take the shape of a green dragon. These are the very liquids that spew the toxic materials out from within the hive through the craters.

Model: Black Drake
Projectile Art: Green Drake Missile

Stats:

Has 50-50 chaos damage with a 2 second cool down attack. This hunter can fly much faster than other hunters that can fly, but has much lower damage.
Health: 450
Armor: 5 (Heavy)

Attributes - Same as the goblin hunter, adjusted to ensure that it's damage is no more than 50.

Rewards 20 gold when killed

Abilities:

Attribute Bonus: Same as others

Excess Liquids: The hunter breathes any liquids that it does not need. These liquids deal 25 damage a second to the target and reduce their movement speed by 20%.

Model: Forgotten One

Stats:

Same size as a research center
Health - 1000
Armor, etc– Same as a research center

Costs 30 lumber - May only have one of these at any time


Abilities:

Enter: The queen is able to enter within her hive, protecting her from harm.

Spawn Tentacle: For 500 lumber, you can spawn a defensive tentacle anywhere that is buildable within the playable map area. This spell has no cool down, however; it has a 1.5 second cast time and the tentacle will be submerged when it spawns.

Spawn Offensive Crater: For 50 lumber and 1 food, you can spawn an offensive crater anywhere that is buildable within the playable map area. This spell has no cool down, however; it has a 1.5 second cast time and the tentacle will be submerged when it spawns.

Twist: In order to use any of the spawn abilities, the queen must be inside of the hive.
Twist: Workers are unable to return lumber here, but the queen is unable to return lumber anywhere else.

Defensive Tentacle:

Aesthetics:
Model: Tentacle
Tint: Tinted grey-ish (optional)

Stats:

Same size as walls
Health: 500
Armor: 15 (Fortified)
Attack: Melee range, 10 piercing damage. Slow attacking speed.

Ability:

Submerge: The tentacle is able to submerge back into the hive. While submerged, the tentacle is invisible; you can walk over it, but must wait a 15 second cool down before you are able to resurface again. In addition, tentacles that were spawned for the first time are unable to surface for 30 seconds. While submerged, its armor is reduced to 0 and it can be attacked if revealed.

Offensive Crater:

Aesthetics:

Model: Crater Fiery [Doodad found in the Underground tile set]
Projectile Art: Chimera Acid Missile (with a slightly large arc)
Tint: Tinted slightly purple (optional)

Stats:

Same size as a murloc tower
Health: Same as a tower
Armor: Same as a tower

Attack: The damage of these towers would be quite larger than most towers, but it would attack at about the same speed. Each upgrade will cost an additional 1 food, forcing you to detonate workers as you upgrade your towers. Upgrades 3 times, like other towers.

Hive Opening:

Aesthetics:

Model: Forgotten One [Smaller]
Tint: Tinted grey, as to distinguish it from the main hive opening

Stats:

Same size as a fruit tree, and provides the 150 food. Trains surface harvesters. Surface Harvesters can return lumber to this building, but the Queen may not.
Health: 300
Armor: 10 (fortified)
Researches lumber upgrades


Merchant:

All:Exactly like any other merchant. Required to upgrade towers a third time, and to build the advanced research center.


Advanced Research Center:

Aesthetics:

Model: (?)

Stats:

Health, armor, etc: Same as any other ARC.

Reseach:

Liquid Hide
Coats all of Tentacles with a poisonus liquid, causing the titan to occasionally Miss on attack.
Gives all walls a 5% chance to negate all damage. -MrDuck-

Acidic Liquids: Each time an attack from your fully upgraded towers deals damage to the titan or his minions, they leave a stacking debuff on it's target. When this debuff reaches 300, the titans armor will be reduced by 20 for 15 seconds.
-Note- The debuff leading up to the effect is punishable, but the armor reduction is not.

Surface Accommodative: Allows your hive to spawn tentacle walls much faster than before. Reduces the delay in resurfacing a submerged tentacle to 5 seconds, and the initial surfacing delay to 10 seconds.


I am open to any and all suggestions. Please note that it is the concept I want you to consider, and not the numbers. Also, this builder suggestion is not finished, so please keep that in mind. Thank you for reading this! Smiley

Does the liquid droplets slow time stack?
Do the liquid droplets have any armor?

Maybe add a few more upgrades.

Hunter Training ability... maybe just go with a small evasion chance? 20% or something?

also. shouldnt it be the other way around? with the tentacles as towers and the craters as walls? o.0 idc anyways.

maybe add an upgrade for walls, something like

The slow time does not stack with the droplets, and no, the droplets do not have any armor.

I would love to add more upgrades, but I'm having trouble coming up with ones that aren't just copies from other builders that also fit the theme I went with.

Evasion would be pretty good, but I'll wait to see what other people think would work.

I was going to do tentacle walls AND towers, but a tentacle with that kinda range seems odd, and even more odd if it is shooting something.

I absolutly love that upgrade idea, as it even fits in with the theme! I'll add that in right away.

tentacle drenshed in liquid shoots the liauid at any enemy unit bymaking whiping movements <= tadaa tentacle tower
