It’s Dai-Rukh, and I’m back with a new suggestion. I have been informed by a reliable source that my Tuskarr Builder was the runner-up in a recent contest. This encourages me to now post this new suggestion.
The Salamander BuilderAfter the Titans began their eternal war on the new inhabitants of the island, new races slowly began to join the defenders’ cause. One such race was the Salamanders, disturbed from their play in underground lava pools by the temperamentally eruptive nature of Moltenious. A normally torpid and uninspired race, the Salamanders have shown great capability in the defense of the island and are valuable allies to have. The Slamander is an Easy Baser, and everyone knows how badly we need more of those…

The Salamanders are well known for their extensive magma-direction projects. In improving this skill, the defensive capabilities of Salamander fortifications are improved.
This is a five-tier technology, with each tier giving all levels of Salamander tower +5 attack damage.

Salamanders, unsurprisingly, have a close kinship with the great Fire Wyrms of the mountains. Often, great dragons will ally themselves with Salamander military forces, pledging their considerable might to the Salamander cause.

Dragon Comet
It is said that whenever a dragon dies, a comet crosses the sky, bearing an egg to replace the fallen beast. Once in a while, these comets decide to take revenge…The Titan Hunter calls down a meteor (looks like an Inferno meteor) which strikes an area, damaging, stunning, and silencing enemies within its area.
Damage: 300/200/100
AoE: 400
Casting Range: 600
Casting Delay: 3 seconds
Stun Time: 2 seconds to all in the area
Silence Time: 10 seconds to all in the area
Mana cost: 500
Cooldown: 240 seconds.
Lava Vent (Tower)
(Model is a doodad called Crater Fiery <Base>)
As has been said, Salamanders construct artificial magma vents deep underneath the ground for all sorts of purposes. Of these purposes, possibly the most common is as use as a defensive structure. When enemies are nearby, other Salamanders deep beneath the surface of the earth activate magma and send it rushing up to the vent, upon which it sprays out at the unfortunate victim.Icon:

Other than the following, Lava Vents are average towers.
Range: Remains at 700 throughout all upgrades.
Ability:Deepfire Burn
As can be imagined, lava shot from such vents is extremely hot and extremely painful to be covered with. Particularly nasty burns can leave hurting bruises, sometimes lasting years.Whenever a Lava Vent attacks an enemy, it’s attack does 5 damage/second for 2 seconds after the original strike. This effect stacks. This ability only applies to Mega-level towers after the technology Deepfire has been researched in the ARC.
MerchantElder Wyrm Lair (ARC)
(Looks like a Tidal Guardian heavily tinted red)
As has been mentioned, Salamanders hold close friendships with red dragons. As such, it is not uncommon to see an aged, weary red dragon living out its final days in a Salamander community. In such a position, the dragon provides advice, wisdom, and counseling for its community while, in return, it gets to live out its days in peace and is fed all the time. The Elder Wyrm Lair has all the normal stats for an ARC. It costs 45 Gold and 1500 Lumber. It does, however, have a powerful ranged attack which it may used to attack Titanous beings or to detonate buildings. The Wyrm Lair cannot attack if it is currently researching something.
Attack damage: 50 (Chaos)
Attack speed: 1 strike/3 seconds
Range: 600
Researches:Harvester Survival Training and
Infantry Survival Training as normal.
Heated Rock
In their constructive exploits, Salamanders often treat suitable stones in lava to purify them. Recently, in light of the war of the Titans, this has been put to more practical use.All Salamander walls gain 50 mana and a recharge rate of 1mana/second. In addition, they also all gain a 20 damage/second Immolation which must be activated and deactivated as normal. This Immolation costs 2 mana/second. To use this ability, Stone Walls must first be upgraded to Heated Stone Walls for 100 Lumber. Costs 1250 Lumber and takes 45 seconds.
Core Power
In connecting artificial lava vents with a natural power source, instead of an artificial, Salamander contrived one, Salamanders gain a powerful, if unpredictable, weapon. This is a 3-tier upgrade, with each tier improving all Lava Vents’ attack speed by 5%.
Gold Cost: 1/3/5
Lumber Cost: 1000/1500/2000
Time: 40/50/60
Deepfire
In Salamander mythology, there is a mystical source of all creation called Deepfire. It is the quest of many Salamanders to harness this mighty power and use it to combat the Titans. All Mega-level Lava Vents gain the Deepfire ability. Costs 10 Gold, 3500 Lumber, and takes 90 seconds.
Furnace Belly
As is well known, Salamanders have a large amount of potential energy stored in their mighty stomachs. This can be released in apparently random bursts of energy, or as a powerful, fiery blast. The main Builder’s attack range is increased by 400 (obviously, his attack missile changes to a Fireball). In addition, all Hatchlings gain a 5 damage Chaos attack with 400 range as well. Costs 20 Gold and 500 Lumber and takes 45 seconds.
Expert Titan Hunter Training
Some of the dragons who bestow their mighty capabilities upon the Salamanders are, in fact, legendary dragon heroes, capable of mighty deeds. The war against the Titans would greatly benefit from having one such dragon on their side…Improves the Titan Hunter’s life by 200, his armour by 5, and gives him the Dragon Comet ability. Costs 45 Gold, 2000 Lumber, and takes 60 seconds.
Ultimate Towers:Sludge Launcher
Tropical Glyph
Inferno Tower
(The red, fiery version)
Has normal Ultimate Tower stats, save the following:
Icon:

Attack damage: 50 (Chaos)
Range: 900
Attack speed: 4 attacks/second
When held as an item, gives +25% attack speed to the holder.
Well, that’s it. It’s good to be back. Please give feedback as normal.
