I can't watch anything that gets downloaded on to my comp it just says improper reading device and cancels it.
any suggestions?

Are you using the proper media device? Some video files won't run on WMP because it doesn't deal with the extension (BTW, don't change the extension). I'd advise getting GOM or... fuck, i forget the name of it. Someone else on here probably knows (starts with a K)
