The Arachnathid is based on a number of custom models, no doubt about that. I think it would be based on 3-4 custom models, not to many in truth. But it does have its sense of original gameplay, per those who tested the race ingame.
I did release a template map along with my suggestions, this one isnt any different. Because I think its much easier to experience the race rather than it is to read through all abilities in detail and then imagine. Not that there is anything wrong with that, it makes it easier for people to enjoy the ride.
Also Jux:
- Since you complained about the invisible sight when burrowed, would you rather have that for the two morphs instead of it being given right at the start?
- That about spawning larvae. You never did test the map, you only skimmed through the suggestion that would give you first lead on the builder and based your comment.

In truth, you do not build a merchant but you research a morph equivalent. I assume you know these already, its more of a this or that choice.
You have to many skills on a unit making it impossible to use all of them (Queen Unit)

The sunken colonies attack to slow to keep titan at bay. Most attack a little faster and some attack faster, have high damage and higher range.
You suggest I buff up the damage, range or attack speed? Lets say, 5 damage and 100 range?
The builder in a real situation I think would be crap at escaping. Sure early game titan pretty much has no chance slaying you but mid and late game assuming he has minions your stuck and dead.
The Larvae's that die to easily to nuking right? As per Jux's suggestion and others verdicts, they are magic immune in the next template version. If its something else that you feel would help, feel free to suggest it.
The warrior seems to have to little hp to survive very long in a real minion or titan hunt
In honesty, Arachnathid Warriors were an AI edition to keep things interesting in the template. If the discussion develops, I could consider them though they'd need some special attribute to them.
Drones hp upgrade is completely unreasonable considering how much gold it takes to finish. Paying 5 gold some lumber for the first 25 hp then increase 5 gold and some lumber for the next all the way to get to 200hp. Lets just say most players would go why the fuck does it cost so much and please note you start at 50 hp.
I sort of realised that after Mbot too started complaining on that. You could call it a miscalculation, but there's no doubt the gold cost needs to be attended. Im thinking to lower it to 1-2 gold instead of the usual 5, a discussion on the matter wouldnt hurt.
Burrow and true sight doesn't seem that bad. It prevents titan standing right on top of you making her builder a little bit better.
Physical immunity is what keeps you from being slain right on the spot should you burrow. in order to survive later on in the game, an upgrade to this would be a healthy choice. Perhaps, reduces magic damage on a static number instead of the usual percentage?
Could go like this;
Reduces magic damage by: 20/40/60/80
(Though this wouldnt save you later on).
