Here's some clarification.

D1RE is one of the 14 different names for tauren, meaning that there is only a 1/14 chance (7.14%) to get a tauren named D1RE.  The hunter names will only be in 3.0.7b so that they get some recognition for a version, Red- for his genius micro and lee for his excellence with nature.  D1RE's will remain, but keep in mind, it's a ~8% chance to get a tauren named D1RE.

It would be stupid to name hunters because someone is proficient with a race, not saying Lee doesn't deserve recognition. However, what I am saying is that, if you add Red- for  more than his ability to wallwalk with Mak, then you would have to add in the players who came before Red- who were just as good if not way better than him in terms of playing ability with a particular race.

IMO, critters and other special recognition should remain reserved for people who edit the map, help a lot with the website or assist the editors for long periods of time.

Red- was known for pretty much starting Island Defense videos, and doing the most amazing wallwalk in his one video.

Do people even read the names of the unit?  I know I dont, nor do I really care for such a thing.  And I know people don't really bother with the quest log.  But if anything is worth mentioning, it would probably be more appropriate to do in the load screen.
