Randomly, recently I was playing ID and realized I'd never really given random a thought. Bonus health is nice. But what about a SECRET titan and or builder? Only available through random by 20%? (# can be changed) And this race/titan will not be overpowered. However the only problem I see with this is that the titan and or builder would have to be fun and popular otherwise I think this would be fail cause no one would want to play him/her. We could also add the codeword option (like sat) and only the admins and mods know it so they can give it out as a prize or for fun. (password would have to be changed regularly to promote being "good" to get it.

The bonus lumber and chance to get a tome is good enough. Also, the codeword option would fail because the only way to change the password regularly would be making new versions, or else you would end up with 50 of the current version with the password.

It's been suggested 14,000,003 times before (once by me), and there's already a bonus in randoming.
Well I'm sorry then. I just thought of it as a larger possible reward to randoming. |

I'm pretty sure in 2.8.6, you can only random the new titan. But 2.8.6 is more/less a dead version, so. I'm not sure if it counts.

Striker we could alleviate that problem fairly easily, still do it but just not so many times also only the mods and the admins have it so not that many people will have it. Even if lucky players got it I don't think they would share it. I mean why would you? I think I would keep it to myself I mean being the only non-admin/mod with access to a secret race seems kinda good doesn't it? |

I think we need to deal with the ID races and titans we have at hand. It's too soon to start releasing a whole bunch of new titans and races again, imo. |

True, but I don't see too many problems with the current races of course doesn't Murs got everything more or less ready to be patched up in that big balance thread? I think the only thing that could be done for current titans and races is polishing.

What's the use of creating a secret builder or titan? Sure, it increases the amount of randoms, but it's worth it considering you spent days and days creating it, when you could actually be fixing current issues of the map.

I'd like it. A fun twist, i suppose. Doubt it's gonna happen, this idea kinda reminds me of the map, "The Predator," and in the final version a secret predator could be randomed, and he was uber. and fun to play.  |
