Ok i decided to do 3 builder suggestions one builder one support and one misc

Heres the support



Auroric Builder

This mighty mage has wandered the world looking for interesting events to observe. One day he came upon an island in the distance surrounded by a deep fog. He sailed over but his ship crashed. Now he will rally the builders to victory with his magical enchantments.

This builder's purpose is to provide various auras to allies
Stats

HP:300
MP:450
Movement Speed:350
Damage:120-120
    Type:Magic
    Range:330
Armor:1
    Type:Light

Abilities

Slow Aura
    Slows all enemy units by 10% in 400 AOE around the Builder

Dash Aura
    Increases all allied units movement speed by 6% in 400 AOE around the Builder

Energy Charge
    Channels for 10 seconds restoring 300 mana to the Builder

Turning on an Aura drains 2 mana per second and this stacks with the other auras
All Auras drain Mana except for Slow, Dash, and Brilliance Aura.

Buildings

Shelter - 10 lumber
    Trains workers
Worker- 70 food
Gathers 10 lumber per hit for a max of 20

Wall- 50 lumber
    200 health 9 armor

Advanced Wall- 250 lumber
    450 health 19 armor

Research Center
    Command Aura: 1 gold 600 lumber - Gives nearby units +15 damage
    Power Aura:(requires Command Aura) 2 gold 750 lumber - Gives nearby structures +5 damage
    Devotion Aura: 1 gold 750 lumber - Gives nearby units +3 armor
    Protection Aura:(Requires Devotion aura and replaces it) 4 gold 1000 lumber - Gives nearby units and structures + 6 armor
    Brilliance Aura: 500 lumber gives nearby units +8% mana regeneration
    Dash Aura: 500 lumber upgrades Dash aura to +8% movement speed bonus

ARC 40 gold 1250 lumber
    Rejuvination Aura: 10 gold 1000 lumber - Gives nearby Units +10% regeneration
    Restoration Aura: (Requires Rejuvination Aura and Protection Aura)10 gold 750 lumber - Restores nearby buildings for 3 hp per second
    Rally Aura:(Requires Power Aura) 10 gold 750 lumber - Gives nearby units and structures +20 attack speed
    Resistance Aura: (Requires Protection Aura) 10 gold 1000 lumber - Gives nearby units 15% magic resistance
    Frostbite Aura: 5 gold 1500 lumber - Causes enemy units nearby to take 3 damage per second.

Aura Tree(Requires Arc)
    45 gold. Whatever the aura tree does

Aura Temple(Requires ARC)
    90 gold. Upon hit it reduces health regeneration by 10%. Lasts 5 seconds. Does not stack. 95-95 damage.
    When held gives the holder life aura and +2 hp regeneration.
    Life Aura:gives nearby units and buildings +150 health. If this is possible. Otherwise just make it +5 regeneration aura and +5 armor to holder

Why does he have 50 HP more than any other builder at start? Even mag/tauren don't START with extra health, they have to upgrade for it.

Another thing, I can just see somebody maxing themself out, then just chillin in a base, afk, and still providing 10% slow on titan (and is that MS, AS, both?), 10% move speed, which only really helps pokers at that point, +15 damage (what about the towers based off speed or range? i think that one should be a 15% bonus or something like that, so it balances itself) an armor aura (based off of level of upgrade, but at max, 6 armor to all walls, not as good as mag, but its up there) rejuvination aura and brilliance aura aren't really rigged, except if you have a battle tauren, mag, morph, or sat out there, or a demo with max summons, makes them a helluvah lot harder to kill, then he gets aura trees and aura temples to overpower himself and others even more.

Great concept, really it is, but stacking up all those auras together just makes it wayyyyy imba (not to mention the lag it could create, and how stupid he'd look with all the aura animations, go play a loap and you'll see what i mean) and if you reduce the numbers on all the auras enough to make it balanced, then he'd be fucking useless, especially before maxed out.

Imo, make it go into a specialization or something, for example:

Speed Specialization, this gives you auras to slow enemies, and/or speed up allies, and/or increasing attack speeds. This way, he only has 1 positive aura, and 1 negative aura, not overpowered, still gets the job done, and he doesn't d/c all the people with crappy computers. Of course he'll need filler spells, cuz this'll be the most boring builder EVER if he's all aura based, you need some way to be active without just positioning yourself..

Maybe a channel-based spell that leeches AS and/or MS from the titan/minions/whateverenemy, and applies it in aura form to nearby towers, may seem a bit imba, but the amounts will probably need to be small. Yes i did get that from the death knight frost spec in WoW, but its not a half-bad idea

Why do his walls have more armor than normal? There doesn't really seem to be a good reason.

He's kinda boring, really. Just gold and get all the auras and stand in a base for 30 minutes until game ends. If people try to kill a mini you gotta stand around there as well (with no escape skill by the way, just your auras) and do nothing but support them with auras until he dies. Also if Dash and Slow auras are always active (or don't require mana to be active), why not just merge them together into one.

Here's a suggestion for a skill instead of the two auras I mentioned: Either buffs an ally's move speed by a certain % for a certain amount of time, or slows the titan's move speed by a certain % for a certain amount of time. That way you can only do one of those, and it'll have a cooldown instead of a constant effect so it's more balanced. (Yes I stole this from a hero in LoL, which was or was not based on a Dota skill, I have no idea)


Either way he's still the most boring support ever. :F

I suggest, to make him alittle more interesting, Make him a Bard. He is pretty cool how he is, but like said above, he is boring. Make him make a building like a merchant to buy instruments, and instead of just auras, there are also spells (Eg. Sound Wave or Screech). For some spells and auras to be active, you will need a certain instrument (Eg. Sound Wave requires you to hold Gutair). I know this sounds stupid but it does make him alittle more intresting to play and even adds more depth to him. Maybe after a certain amount of time or spells used, your instrument breaks and you need to buy a new one?  Huh?
