Chapter 1: Start of the game
Okay, so you've either randomed or gotten -sat (you), gratz on that i suppose, now its your time to prove everyone wrong that satyr is gonna die, they're all thinking it.
First, run to a tree, this is about all you can do until titan spawns, i recommend one that is near an escape, and is close to mound, i prefer the one south west of mound, right by the 2-way seed, if titan starts heading for you, you can run through the trees and escape.
Warning: Avoid 1-way seeds, titans tend to block you into them and nuke you to death, very common way for satyr to die!!
You chop the tree until the titan, spawns, now at this point, a lot of satyr's get brave and run to the mound to check out who the titan is without -ma, bad idea, i can't even tell you how often satyrs die because the titan is racist about satyr, and pearls the mound to see what he can find.
The easiest way to prevent death as a satyr, is pretend you're not invisible, of course theres exceptions to this, but it helps.
Once the titan is spotted away from the mound, you can head over there, now hopefully somebody has walled the mound by now, but regardless of that, if titan is far enough away from mound (you be the judge of that, it takes practice) you can snag a few gold and run, even if you only get 1 gold, thats +50 hp.
Okay by this time the wood income should have given you 50 lumber, find a nice, hidden spot, and make a rogues den,
Recommended spots:
In walls near the mound
Just outside walls near the mound
Near your original wooding spot (if it was well hidden)
Anywhere the titan probably won't find
In a base
Chaper 2: Golding
Quick Note: I highly recommend you always ensure you have at least 50 lumber, because if the titan walks up and kills your den right after you research the health upgrade, etc, you're now uprole to create a new den, this usually leads to poking, because people are too impatient to wait for the slow 10 wood income, or are unaware that they get lumber automatically.
Drop off your lumber, and start getting upgrades, depending on whether or not you're a team player, you might wanna get things in different orders, if you wanna be able to save somebody, get the Dust (of illusion or appearance or whatever the hell its called, somebody can reply to this and fill it in and i'll edit it in if you want) because that can save people, such as a morph getting pwned on with nowhere to run and no escape abilities, etc
If you wanna look out for your own neck first, go for the health upgrade. One of the easiest ways to become a powerful Satyr is to get poking soon, so get the health upgrade and the dust asap, then save up the gold for the loot stash, which can either be hidden around the edges of the map (Satyr buildings do not show up on the minimap, so if he pearls and just waits for color to show up on minimap, or if somebody dies, it is not in as much danger as say, a tauren or mag ARC) or in a base (make sure its not one the titan can easily break)
Once you have your loot stash, you want to go for 300 health, dash, fade, and blur, these are helpful for poking. The order in which you get them is really up to you, but being that getting dash gives you an escape ability, and evade, i always go for that first. In my opinion, fade is the least important out of these upgrades, because it really helps very little in most situations, unless you're maybe running from titan and he's following you and beating on you, but dash fixes that problem, and even if you did fade, he could just pearl you.
Chapter 3: Poking
Okay, so now you have your poking upgrades, some extra health, and if there isn't a minion by now, titan is either super fail, or builders know exactly what they're doing. If you can keep golding the entire game, more power to you, but poking is more fun, and its golding+lumbering at the same time, so its more convenient. Its usually easiest to go "Live with someone", meaning you stay in their base and wait for titan, then help them fight the titan off, or kill him. Or of course, you can just roam the map and wait for titan to hit a base, but this is less effective for a few reasons, you're a lot more vulnerable, being that he could have the Mystic Staff of the Gods, or he could pearl you, then you're screwed unless you can get to a base before he kills you.
So heres how to poke,
Stand in one of the lanes by the walls of a base, be careful not to block, get blocked, or prevent rewalling, and when the titan is attacking (make sure he's hitting a wall or you could get killed) you run out of walls, attack him once, then run back in, safest way to do this is to hit blur right before you attack (Hotkey is F) and if he turns on you, dash back to walls, if you take damage, its safest to hide in un-nukable spot in base until you're back up in health. Poke as often as its safe, you'll get your upgrades faster, and be more effective.
Chapter 4: Becoming Helpful
As you may have realized by this point, while the Satyr is fun, he's not exactly helpful, but he can be in the right hands. Once you start poking and are harder to kill, start working on your rending blade and damage upgrades, rending blade is to reduce titan's armor (you must poke often for the armor reduction to even take effect, it only lasts about 2 seconds) and the damage upgrade is mainly for the crits, because a 3000 damage critical strike (crits aren't blocked by armor as far as i'm aware) will deffinately hinder a titan.
Chapter 5: Killing a minion
Okay so you grabbed plenty of gold, haven't spent any, but somebody dies, theres nobody who can really kill a minion, but you CAN!
Either in a base, or a hidden spot, build your Thieves Guild, i recommend you upgrade your units before you attempt any kind of attack, less chance you'll lose any, which is both feed, and costs you money if you need to replace
With the Thieves guild, you can make an army of units (Troll headhunters, Makrura Stonethrowers, Gnoll Tracker, and Spearlocs, all of the things that are summoned from the merchant items, except these are permanant) which can easily kill a minion, giving you 45g, and bones for hunters, plus it frees up the gold mound.
Note: A minion can also be killed by upgrading crit and damage, and throwing hard crits, but you can't take a minion head on, you'll need it to be attacking something else, so this way is more dangerous, plus people might look at it as a "Kill Steal"
You can also use the army to attack the titan from behind while he's sieging a base, while he's fighting your minions or the walls, you can make barracades or dens as a wall in, and if you have a tracker there, he can't wall walk, titan is screwed, you've won the game.
Chapter 6: Misc. Tips
If you are attacked by the titan, and have no way to escape, but plenty of lumber, you can always wall-walk with dens (your shelter building), wall walking is performed by building dens in a path, because while you're in the den, you can't be killed, this feeds the titan, but at least you'll be alive. Wall walking is interupted by standing in front of the next den going to be built, they try to make it so you can't build long enough to kill you, avoid this by switching directions, or just getting around him
If nobody has the mound walled off, you can put 2 dens spaced enough so you can walk through but titan can't, and use those as walls
If the titan is at a base, and is going down, you can wall in with either barricades (Bought from den for 1g and 200 lumber i think)
