Walls arn't overpowered. It's only when you're low level it takes awhile to kill an upgraded wall. Being titan takes strategy, not the straight hack and bash or 1 hit nuke.

Striker, the walls are ridiculously overpowered early for a titan (unless you're Moltenious--he can take most walls with ease).
A demonologist or two wall the entire middle, and you're done. They'll be poking like there's no tomorrow, whether it's with summons or not. If you have them repairing the wall you're trying to take down, it's impossible to take it down.

All cockiness aside, I tear down pub games like there's no tomorrow as titan.

Island Defense is balanced enough, and in 2.8.6, the Titan gets a significant boost.

well, perhaps you haven't got molested (or raped) by a pro titan in a pub game. Tune yourself in to channel Clan TRA@west gate at around 8am-11am or 8pm-11pm(+GMT8) and look for this guy called T[r]A-KenXreme and he'll show you how to rape a pub game in less than 15 minutes. nuke doesn't mean you have to kill a builder in 1 hit, in fact you can't (lol). Use your nuke wisely. If you'r syph or bubo, feed on workers like there's no tomorrow (opss). If you're gran (with that shitty nuke) nuke when you're confident to take builder down once they're stunned. Demon? you might want to get a wind catcher and feed on workers like syph.

Hardly see any pub game with 3 or more total newbies golding. They would either never-wall-themselves when setting up lumber base, or have no idea what deto / deny feed is.

Nuking can be used to kill workers early on, but to kill a builder you need 2+ minions to chain some.
There are plenty of other things that you can do, for instance don't camp and go atack lumber bases, try and find a lumber base of someone whos golding right now (murlock, makura, ogre, etc.) and when they begin to det, TP to mid and maybe get a builder kill.
When seiging bases, its never a bad idea to tag some minions along and when they try to rebuild nuke/ kill the wall with the minis.

First off I'm not that good of a Titan usually glac or Lucy, and half the time in pubs I don't  have to kill a base do to so many people being able to be nuked.

If you balance the game around pros, those pros eventually get bored of the game (It's already happening) and leave. Sure, I support an -ih mode though, developed for pros. But the entire, pure game itself? No. You can't get the other players to replace those who left, leaving a dead community.

It's an art of balancing it for everyone, and making it fun for them.

Get in a good inhouse as an observer. See what the titan does to get the first builder. You will see that walls are indeed, not overpowered. If they're unupgraded, kill them. They're food. If they're upgraded, then why did you give the builders enough time to upgrade their walls near your mound? Oh, it's a demon. Not a problem. Get webbed feet, a healing ward, and a wand of the wind. If anything, the game is unbalanced toward the titan.

If you're talking about public games here, then you need some practice as titan. If you're talking about inhouses, then hope for -ih mode to make your dreams come true.

But however rarely people play like this. I did it. That's why I rarely died first in IHs.
