Attack Speed vs Brute Strength?

Well, As per playing as a noob before the 3.0's came out, I always thought the major builds are Tridents or Regen spines (not including AoF's and the newer builds) But I've heard a few "Pro's" Say that Tridents are not as successful as sieging devices. Rather than massing tridents I've seen them ghet Helm of Rage, Msog, and Zerker gem(ofc) and then just mass tome damage. I'm just wondering based on everyone else's opinions. What is the most efficient Sieging build. Attack speed or High dmg?

Pros don't get helm of rage, and tome massing is old school fun. Depends on titan mainly, along with the base and people defending it.

For me personally, it depends on the titan, and what role you wish to play. Sometimes it's a nice change to stack tridents on Demonicus rather than regeneration, just to see how well it works. Mostly, I go for health regeneration and one or two tridents to balance it out while sieging.

i prefer tridents and shields. you can get the regen from purplepots, no need for spines.
as demon my main item is essence most times. the manaregen for minions is just way better then any other item.

imo minion heal is very underused, sometime i do not spend all skillpoints and save them for later use. For example windwalk is useless unless there is a real thread

Favorite item build: Life Essence, Armor of Fate, Helm of Rage, Eternal Wards, Mystic Staff of Gods, and Berserker Gem. Between the 62hp/second regeneration of the life essence (when active), the mana regenerating aura of the essence to keep healing and the healing ward well placed regeneration is covered quite well. Armor of Fate covers the armor you would normally get from 6 spines but in 1 item (10 armor and 8 damage block/18 armor). Berserker Gem gives 20 damage, 25% AS and a permanent scroll of beast. Mystic Staff of Gods gives true sight for pesky wall in while invisible, 15%(10%? can't remember and at school atm) AS, allows you to have a pearl that does something (passable for those last builders who hide ) and 350 mana. Helm of Rage gives you the movement speed of a spine, another 15% AS, and life steal to make those constant hitting supporters (morph, tauren, satyr, demo (summons)) useless to a point. After you have these items you can just tome the extra hp and damage. These items pretty much promise you will win. Only real nice thing about spines or tridents is that you can still punish without losing the bonuses (yay for passive items).

msotg is passable? i still dont see how its worth its gold unless vs a(n?) overfed satyr. A floating eye is as good as a msotg because you can see when the builder enters windwalk.

Yes, Msog is passable, sometimes when I feel lazy I buy it first, (especially when I knew there is alot of feeders for example. [pub games]) and when you have 3-4 minis you can pearl the whole map within 20-30 seconds (even though by the time you have that many minis, you probably don't have too worry about finding bases, as much as sieging them)

And its nice to be able to actually hit them in ww, rather than just see them go into it =/

As for seiging I usually get stupid builds because everyone sucks and games are too easy if you play standard

Mostly depends on titan, who based and who supports base. I usually get 1 EoL, 1 AoF, 3/4 Super Regens dependingif i have a mini to hold eternals. then tome the rest.

I just go 1 super regen spine (to make better use of webbed feet slot), plus 5 tridents/titanics with wards, and regen potions on minis.

Yes it mostly depends on Titan.
Like when i'm breeze I go for a webbed, then a etearnal, then 3 tridens (of power ofc) recipe titanic then mass titanic.
Luci I go webbed+spines>mass super spines and a ward for blocking sometimes.
Demo I go for a ward (blocking mostly) webbed life essense (some cases a mystic) then if game goes on I'll save it up for a fog genarator it's just imba fun when nuke killing all those "pro" builders

Well as much as i play titan the build that usually works for me is massing tridents...Yes spamming regen spines then massing tomes is strong but it will take to long i recommend to get 1 anhk of power and 1 titanic trident in the beginning go for ebases early if u have your anhk of power and try to farm up the trident fast if u cant beat ebases feed off walls and get a titanic ward in the end if uve played well enough u should end up with 1 anhk of power 4 tridents and 1 titanic ward... by now your titan should 2-4 hit walls if u r lvl 9 if u havent won yet (which u shouldve) and a base is still to strong try to keep farming off 2 walls every attack due to the fact that u can proberly destroy them in a matter of seconds and buy a whole bunch of tomes though i do think however that 1 beserker gem might make a difference due to the fact that 25% attack speed makes your tridents more effective 340x.25 which adds up to 90 extra damage compared to a trident giving 50 damage +20 str which is 70 damage also the Beserker gem adds 20 damage therefore it actually adds 110 damage compared to 70 though u dont get the 20 str for hp im sure that the other tridents already gives enough if uve lost your trident and cant get anhk of power then youll be off better due to the fact that Anhk of power adds 50 damage and 10 str as i remember and Titanic trident adds 20str instead of 10 u can also replace wards if they have annoying pokers that destroy wards causing them to become useless with another trident instead of ward u will be doing 532.5 dps without natural damage after getting those items u can simply max out tomes and take about halve a second or less to destroy normal walls probably .75 seconds to destroy mag or gnolls and a lil less for panda so in total u will dominate with this build and become the cheapest titan ever without hax =) i suggest this build on any titan Especially Grant due to his Avatar form and natural healing ward making him able to dominate e bases and late game bases

- 1 "empty" item (Ie situational, I may add a trident, get essence, HoR (not likely) etc.)

My old strat was get 2 srs, 3 titanics, and msotg. Nowadays it's webbed feet/srs(if i have money), aof, 2 titanics, mana stone, and a situational (msotg if there are a lot of ww builders, but mostly another trident or another mana stone).
