Hi.
Maybe sb knows, if in internet can i find Island Defense Map 2.8.6b (or other but by Darox), witch was made, that it works with the newest patches for warcraft 3?
I wanna play ID, but I think that the newest version of this map (3.0.X) sucks: i cant buy items in the centre, bad terrain, unblanced, bugged, new builders & titan(s), etc..

2.8.6b doesn't work on new patches anymore. You (probably) won't find one that will.

Darox released the map, so you could find the dl in the forums, and find someone who could make it work for the patch to play it, but otherwise yeah it doesn't work.

Is difficult make 2.8.6b that it will work with the newest patch?
Had nobody ported it before my question? Strange. No one needs it (Darox's version of ID)?
Maybe in this forum is somebody, who can do it and want to do it?

I don't think builders should be able to see the shop personally because I like the element of unknowning aspects of the other team... so it's not something I have considered. As for toming wait for 3.0.7  . My friend tried to port 6B to work with the new patches but after he spent ages on it, it still didn't work. I could look into it but to be honest, I'd rather just make a version that suits everyones tastes. |

He can build golem-walls, which have 850hp+25defense and they are for free (to can build it you must pay 20g+10g+5g=45g). Magnatur, who is a typical supporter must buy many, many upgrades (and gold...) to can build his best walls (1wall=1g), when Panda's walls are better and cheaper? |

i think, panda is too good.
Panda is good. However his uberoverpowerededednessess is mitigated by the fact that he needs to switch between builders to be a successful support... (making it so you have to have the rotten massive tree inside the base, taking up a ton of space.) Magnataur also has war cry, ww, frost, avatar, poison hit, minion summon, etc. It's all balanced until Pandabears build illness's. There walls will die, just as mags or demos walls do it just takes a bit more smacking. It's balanced imo, really nothing to be worried about. |
