Hammer and Sickle -Builders Suggestions

THIS IS JUST A RETARD VERSION!
FOR STATS AND DETAILS GO TO THE DASHED LINE!
This is not one builder, but two. When starting you choose H n' S and get two separate builders. H n' S is a builder that is hard to use, and is meant for those who can micro manage well. If you can't micro this is a great builder to learn on. If one of the two is killed the titan gets 20 gold and X experience.  When the second is killed the titan gets 10 gold and a minion. Each builder can repair and gold at half the rate of a normal builder but can't lumber.  

Hammer and Sickle are pretty much just one builder cut in half.  Think of old morphling where warrior did the fighting and builder made the optional base and did lumbering.  Hammer and Sickle are close to that in the way that Hammer builds the lumber supply and main buildings (ARC and Merchant). Sickle builds towers and has some harassment capabilities.

In Hammer’s Energy Plant you can purchase upgrades needed to build and upgrade towers.  In Hammer’s ARC you can purchase upgrades needed to upgrade to megas.  However Sickle is the one who builds the towers.  In Sickle’s ARC you can get upgrades for your hunter and for sickle.

The hunter is a low hp, high armor, low damage, high attack speed, melee, flying hero.  He can cast a lot of things once you do some researching in Sickle’s ARC.  Hammer has a building that allows you to get units, kinda like satyr’s thieves guild.  With the hunter, all of his castings, a few units, and summons from an allies merchant he can hunt and/or kill a minion(s).  Be minded that this will cost a lot of gold, lumber, and food cost.

Hammer can build something called the Manufacturing Plant.  This, like a normal builder’s workers, is the main income of lumber.  It is a slow lumber camp to set up for you start with 30 lumber and this building costs 30 lumber and produces set amounts of lumber each minute.  Every minute you gain X lumber for each Manufacturing Plant you have, this is an income.  The building like satyr’s buildings does not show up on mini map.  It has an ability called self-destruct, which name implied, destroys the building.  Self-destruct has a cast time of 15 seconds.

This builder has a lot of variety to it in what you can do.  If you want to tech out units and hunt the titan/minion(s) go for it. If you want to base you can do that.  If you want to support someone it wont be easy or too effective but can be done.  If you want to wall 2 people at the same time (Hammer at one base Sickle at the other) you can as well (perfect for those level 7 titan, with 3 minions and only 2 basers left 5mins in type of thing).  Doing more than one thing would cost a lot of lumber and most people will try anyway and, more often than not, will end in failure.

Duck and Cover: Hammer becomes invuln and invisible for 3 seconds but can not move, after 3 seconds he gains back movement and a speed boost for another 5 seconds while retaining invisibility during this time. CD is 110 seconds.

Manufacture Plant:
Model: Town Hall
Cost: 30 lumber
HP: 50
Armor: 0 fortified
Size: 4x4
Titan Gets: 1 gold
Description: This is the main lumber production area for H n' S. It does not show up on map because it must normally be hidden outside of base. Instead of workers like most other builders H n' S have production methods. This building produces 115 lumber every 60 seconds. This plant has the ability, self destruct. Self destruct has a 15 second cast time and blows up the plant. There can only be a max of 10 Manufacture Plants.

Wall:
Model: Farm
Cost: 50 lumber
HP: 250
Armor: 5 fortified
Size: 2x2
Titan Gets: 1 gold
Description: A barricade meant to block the titan. Can be upgraded.

Upgraded Wall:
Model: Barracks
Cost: 250 lumber

Armor: 15 fortified

Titan Gets: 1 gold
Description: Requires Energy Plant. A powerful barricade to block the titan.

Energy Plant:
Model: Acrane Sanctum
Cost: 500 lumber

Armor: 0 Medium

Titan Gets: 5 gold
Description: The Energy Plant can carry one of the builders inside of it. As long as Hammer or Sickle is inside the Energy Plant will provide: 150 food, and a steady income of 200 lumber every 45 seconds. There can only be one Energy Plant. The Energy Plant researches many things such as:

Turtle Scales: duh
HP Upgrades: duh
Manufacture Rate 1: Increases the lumber income of Manufacture Plants by 7. 1000 lumber
Manufacture Rate 2: Increases the lumber income of Manufacture Plants by 7. Requires Manufacture Rate 1. 1000 lumber
Weapons 1: Allows Sickle to build Front Liners. 2000 lumber
Weapons 2: Allows Front Liners to upgrade to Commanders. Requires weapons 1. 500 lumber
Weapons 3: Allows Commanders to upgrade to Battle Commanders. Requires weapons 2. 500 lumber

Advanced Research Center:

Cost: 45 gold 35 food 2000 lumber

Description: The A.R.C. has it's own defense. It can be upgraded to increase damage output. It researches A LOT of shit such as:

Bio Tech: allows Battle Commanders to up to Bio Troop. 500 lumber.
Thunder Tech: allows Battle Commanders to up to Shocker. 500 lumber.
Explosives Tech: allows Battle Commanders to up to Grenadier. 500 lumber.
Projectiles Tech: allows Battle Commanders to up to Rocket Troop. 500 lumber.
Armor Tech: allows Battle Commanders to up to Heavy Troop. 1500 lumber.
Long Range Tech: allows Battle Commanders to up to Sniper. 500 lumber.

Modern cruise missiles can travel at supersonic or high subsonic speeds, are self-navigating, and fly on a non-ballistic very low altitude trajectory to avoid radar detection.
While held: Gives the holder Truestrike(means you never miss) and a bonus 25 damage.

While held: provides a non-stacking aura that damages all enemies in an a.o.e. of 900 by 100 damage a second.

HP: 300 Regeneration: normal builder

Escapes:
Force Shot: Fires a single shot that knocks the first enemy it hits back a max range of 450. If the enemy hits a solid object it is stunned for 3 seconds, if the "object" is another enemy, both are stunned for 3 seconds. 120 second CD.

Cost: 70 lumber

Armor: -5 fortified

Description: this wall gains 12 armor when sickle is in a range of 250 (not hammer). Can upgrade.

Description: This wall gains 12 armor when sickle (not hammer) is in a range of 350. (a.k.a. just give Sickle an aura that only affects walls and gives them 12 armor.)

ARC (sickle):
Model: (one of those houses you see in ladder maps that are in "towns")
Cost: 45 gold
HP: 500
Armor: 10 fortified
Size: 2x6 (for those who don't know x/y axis, thats 2 right/left and 6 up/down)
Description: Researches things to aid Sickle and your hunter such as:

Hail Fire: Gives the hunter Hail Fire. 10 gold 800 lumber.
Scouter: Gives the hunter the Deploy Scout ability. 10 gold 800 lumber
Adv. Hunter Training: Gives the hunter the Last Hope Squad. Last Hope Squad destroys the hunter and in it's place spawns: 3 Hand to Hand Combat Personnel, 4 Marksmen, and 1 Scout. These units do not cost food but only last for 17 seconds. The Hunter also gains 200 hp and 200 mp. 45 gold 1000 lumber.
For the Better: When Sickle dies he deals 1000 damage to all nearby units. 500 lumber
Banner of War: Sickle and the Hunter gain the aura, Banner of War, which gives nearby units 8% damage, 2 Armor, and 2hp/second bonus regeneration to hp. Stacks with other auras/effects. 5 gold 200 lumber.
Spoils of War: Allows sickle to pick up any item (including titan items) however they will remain idle in his inventory and may not be sold. 5 gold 150 lumber. Requires Banner of War.


Towers: If your asking about the % chance to miss, understand that their is always a chance for human error.
Front Liner:

Attribute Bonus: gives 5 points to each attribute. Get/Up levels 1/3/5/7
AirSupport: Lvl 5 skill. Permanently gains 2 clones. They level up with the hunter but can not cast or use items. If the main dies all three die. If a clone dies it does not come back until main dies and is revived. Clones deal 50% normal damage and take 150%.

I like the idea, but the knockback and MS speed are too powerful. Other than that there is no real issue.

EDIT: Oh and the towers are too underpowered from miss %'s and attack speeds. The Advanced ARC needs a larger range to be useful

When I saw the title I was thinking about the Goblin Demolishion Squad...

The mechanics are all way off. If this was to be implemented the amount of coding it would require would be superior to the amount of coding that the map currently has.
In other words, to implement this would be to add about 5-8 seconds in load time and about 0.8mb of extra size to the map and for that reason alone I dislike it.

Hmmm any number idea? maybe you didnt see (maybe you did, not being ass) theres ups for towers in the ARC to make them much better. If you did and still think they weak help meh out xD

Yes, yes it would. The only reason its not very high at the moment is because Gwypaas and I have been enhancing the horrible code that Pandamime left in the map.

I see 3 major problems the builders can build to much and will need multiple lists which the current table only allows 11 one being cancel I suppose he does have the lack of lumbering so he can afford two building lists. -each one builds like 4-8 things ._.

Never mind 2 major problems the rest are minor

His super tower Artillery seems overpowered. Think about pirates fireworks. This tower blows it out of the water. -raise CD?

His arc has to many upgrades so you cannot just get the ones you want so maybe they should require this for this etc. - yeah sorry i ment to make it like you know how normal shelter get 1 lumber up THEN you can see the next one. same thing with fire tech, thunder tech, ect...

Change some numbers since he would make a base very difficult to take as a dber. Picture bio troops, grenadiers and snipers with lets say panda spear towers since they are one of the weakest mid and late game. -hes meant to base solo =/

Can we stay on topic map-downloader and will adding this idea really add that much time to load?
He is on topic, kinda... I got my idea for this because i was thinking 3 things: War, A double builder would be cool, and I needed a name that fit both. U.S.S.R. (united states of soviot russia) the flag has 3 things on it in gold while rest is red. the three things are: a star, a hammer, and a sickle. hence, Hammer and Sickle, builders of war.

Ok Neco, 2 things:
1) I'm *very* pleased you didn't auto reject my idea.
2) Is there any thing we could change on builder that might make it easier to put in map?

Too lazy to read it all right now, but hunter is a bit op with the permanent clones. That's getting 2 more hunters, which really adds up. Should probably decrease damage done and keep damage same, or vica versa

Too lazy to read it all right now, but hunter is a bit op with the permanent clones. That's getting 2 more hunters, which really adds up. Should probably decrease damage done and keep damage same, or vica versa
Oh shit xD i forgot to say thats his "avatar" lvl 5 ablility if that makes it not seem as op. Like i said, 6 hours typing. gonna forget to add stuff xD

Makes more sense, but that is still pretty strong, increase his dps by 200%, from what he'll already be doing from 5 levels. So need to tweak the numbers a bit there.

I love the idea. Could use some tweeking with the avatar, like make him get it at level 7 or something so he needs like 3 bones because lets face it if the titan sucks that much in which he let 3 minis die or your so pro that you killed 3 minis you deserve the 2 extra hunters, or make it so the titan gets gold for each one like 10=1 dead, 15 more for 2 killed, and 20 more for all 3. Other than the hunter i see no problem with it. Along with the x experience for killing one make it 1 level up to level 11 because if the titan is like volt and is owning a base with froff on he can kill one of the builders and BOOM! he has his ulti.

How much is unique? Most of it comes from other spells or simple things like x% to slow.

Edit: Actually the whole towers needing power and can't base near some1 else thing would prob do it wouldn't it? =/

Well think of it this way, if with anyother race you lose your builder your fucked so why not on this one too?

How is having two builders pointless? IT is meant to be a harder, more challenging baser for those who know how to micro, and can reward them with power. You are so wrong on the whole idea of ID. The whole idea of ID is to be a cat and mouse type game, for "mice" to kill the "cat" and "cat" to catch the "mice". Explain how pirate is a creature too please, cough human cough (EDIT: didn't see waddledee already said this, but point still stands). Hammer and Sickle are great names if you know anything about history. The flag of the U.S.S.R. (Union of Soviet Socialist Republics) has a star a hammer and a sickle on it. The U.S.S.R. is known for war. Hence the builders of war, Hammer and Sickle.

Because what is the point in a builder that does entirely nothing? It's not the same as other builders, therefore the same rules should not apply. And make a building that creates regular lumber at a regular basis. All builders get 10 lumber a second, even more with lumber upgrades. It is actually even lower

Brutalistic, seeing as you're the guru of Island Defense, mind telling me what the main idea of Island Defense is?

Nevermind, I'll answer that for you. It's to win. More specifically, win by killing the Titan. Even more specifically, your post did not have anything constructive in it at all.

EDIT: This is from the builders point of view, obviously. And if you respond with more comments like the one I quoted then I'll make a Titan that spawns as 2 different Titans.

I think it's fine where its at, at basic lumber rate 10 of these in 30mins will produce 33000 lumber
